
Dr. Jon Christiansen was raised in Blanding, Utah where he graduated from San Juan High School. Following high school he attended Southern Utah University on an academic and art scholarship. While working on his Bachelor of Science in Zoology, he conducted research on the wildlife in nearby Zions National Park. After graduating from SUU in 2001 he attended Southern California College of Optometry in Fullerton California. During his time at SCCO he was active in the Boy Scouts of America serving as a scout master for two and a half years. He graduated with his Doctorate of Optometry in 2006. While at SCCO he was a four time recipient of the Dixon scholarship award, as well as the Diehl scholarship for excellence in treatment and management of ocular disease and the SCCO Faculty’s Valedictorian award.
